What is Community Acupuncture?

The main goal of a community acupuncture clinic is to make Chinese medicine as affordable and accessible as possible.

Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than one-on-one setting. The treatments are primarily on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.), so there is no need to be terrified by the idea of stripping in front of strangers.

A community setting can be very beneficial for patients. It gives them a chance to get treated side by side with the members of the community, which makes every individual treatment even more powerful. Healing atmosphere is created by patients and practitioners working together.

Here at Abhaya Yoga we strive to create a safe space where our patients can get help and support on whatever their journey is.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese system of healthcare that is over 2000 years old.

Acupuncture improves the body’s functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites-commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints.

It can be beneficial for a variety of health concerns. It has been proven to be effective in the treatment of stress, digestive disorders, seasonal allergies, menstrual irregularities, infertility, neurological disorders as well as acute and chronic pain.
