Beautiful, gracious Lakshmi is the beloved goddess of prosperity, harmony and exquisite well-being. According to tradition, everywoman is an embodiment of this goddess. How do traditional texts guide women to live in alignment with their Lakshmi-nature? Howcan these teachings empower you as a 21st-century New York woman? The answers may surprise you. Through lecture, mantra,contemplative exercise and experiential meditation, you will be guided to a deeply personal experience of the goddess. Constantina draws upon materials from her new book, Invoking Lakshmi: The Godddess of Wealth in Song and Ceremony, which will be available for purchase and signing. Constantina Rhodes holds a Ph.D. in Sanskrit and South Asian religions from Columbia University, and she is a professor of religion at Hunter College. She is the author of several books and dozens of articles on Kashmir Shaivism, Tantric philosophy and the goddesses in India. Constantina has practiced yoga and meditation for most of her life. She spent two years studying in India, and she has received mantra initiation in the lineages of Transcendental Meditation, Integral Yoga and Siddha Yoga. Constantina is also a certified intuitive consultant and certified instructor of intuitive development. She teaches experiential courses at metaphysical institutes such as the New York Open Center, and she maintains a private practice offering intuitive consultations.www.constantinarhodes.com.
