Susan Kotcher
Susan Kotcher came to Yoga through the gateway of meditation in Zen, Tibetan, and Shambhala Buddhist traditions. Through Yoga, Susan discover what yogis have known for thousands of years -- that the magic of gratitude, equanimity, and inner peace can happen when body, breath, mind, and heart are synchronized. She loves to help students experience the mysterious flow of life we sometimes feel during a great Yoga class or, surprisingly, during some of the difficult moments in our lives. Her Yoga classes balance contemplation with sweat, long-held asanas, and a healthy dose of alignment. Her meditation instruction is accessible and supportive, and even students with very busy minds often report that they were able to settle and meditate. Out there in the world, Susan is a non-profit leader and fundraiser. She says that meaningful (and sometimes stressful) work and New York itself are the perfect places to cultivate an open heart and steady mind.Susan has been teaching for many years and re-ignited her teaching through Abhaya Yoga's RYT-500 teacher training.
