Eric Stoneberg

Eric Stoneberg
When Eric blew in to NYC to forge his own personal myth among the melting pot multitude, a string of unhappy jobs led him to seek refuge in the burgeoning yoga scene. Then he landed an awesome gig as a political fundraiser with a clever boss who saw how much more productive Eric was when he let him take an extra long mid-day break for yoga class. Thus encouraged to pursue his passion, Eric spent nearly two years also counting down to the citywide elections - September 11, 2001 - a morning he happened to be standing next to the Brooklyn Bridge gazing at lower Manhattan. The impact and fireball he watched that morning stoked a profound inner flame to dedicate his life to yoga, to seek and keep great company, and to share the artistry and healing potential of his Tantric lineage. Eric leads popular telecourses on a wide variety of topics called Tantric Yoga Vision Quest and has cultivated a community of fellow Seekers from all over the planet. His classes and personal practice are deeply inspired by his dedicated study of Rajanaka Tantra, a shakta (goddess) lineage of Sri Vidya – or Auspicious Wisdom, as elucidated by Douglas Brooks. For many years he has been an avid student and practitioner of the indigenous Shamanic traditions of Andean Peru... and beyond. He liberally weaves the magic he's discovered in South America with the ancient goddess wisdom of South India. In addition to classes and loyal private clientele, Eric leads local and international retreats. He is a Strategic Partner for ECM Executive Consulting where he shares meditation and stress management strategies. He lives in historic Sugar Hill, Harlem with his son Jasper - and two cats, Nina Garcia and Bombay.
