Most recently, her sound practitioner training and certification was completed with Sara Auster in NYC and included studying with Silvia Nakkach, John Beaulieu, Wendy Young and others. Originally, Maraliz studied sound with Lynn Tran at the Dallas Yoga Center. She completed her yoga teacher training while undergoing chemotherapy and her certification was granted by her mentor Jyl Kutche at the DYC in 2015. She shadowed Jyl for 8 months afterwards in therapeutic yoga practices. That same year, she participated in training and a transmission ceremony of Thich Nhat Hanh's Five Mindfulness Trainings with Terry Cortes-Vega at the Dallas Meditation Center. Currently, she studies meditation instruction at Three Jewels in NYC. Maraliz now helps others find relief from all forms of stress and pain with vibrations and movement using Himalayan/crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, violin, the voice and other percussive instruments.
