Inversions can be some of the most empowering, dynamic and in some cases, healing postures a student can do. Performing them safely with proper alignment that attunes to the student’s individual needs is paramount. How might we as teachers teach these poses in a way that is 1. safe and 2. fun and empowering? In this Continuing Education course, open to 200 RYT certified teachers, we will learn specific principles and rules to teaching L-Shape, Handstand, Forearm Stand, Headstand, and Shoulderstand. Restorative options and modifications for injury will also be taught. Not only will we learn the refined alignment, but also how to articulate it. The teacher’s verbal instruction is just as important if not more important than how they execute the pose. Students thrive when they are seen with clear observing skills and well articulated instruction. Join this session and bring your teaching to the next level while empowering your students. Review these wildly fun poses and come into deeper understanding of how to teach them with comfort.
