Thai Yoga Massage

During a session she performs a delicate dance, a loving tango, between her own movements guiding yours to unravel discord in your mind and body. She deftly travels from head-to-toe through energetic meridians and nadis (energy channels) to release and reinvigorate, allowing you to create new connections and conscious awareness of your own body.

Thai Yoga Massage

Sessions are performed sitting and lying down and fully clothed. She will palm, press, roll, and turn you, going as light or as deep as you and your body inform. When you arise, you will feel refreshed and deeply rejuvenated.

Hellerwork Structural Integration

After thorough postural analysis, chronically restricted tissue is lengthened and dysfunctional movement patterns are corrected through gentle, deep restructuring of your body’s supportive structures. Typically Hellerwork is done in a series of sessions, easily broken up into stages and customized to your specific postural restrictions. Each session includes gentle but deep alignment based bodywork, coaching in a complete system of movement exercises, and awareness tools developed to help you maintain the positive physical changes long after your session is over. This work is a perfect compliment to any yoga practice.

DAVID MURPHY
DAVID MURPHY
I found Structural Integration after a debilitating spinal injury left me unable to work. After trying everything other than surgery and drugs it was the only thing that made a difference. I was inspired by the work and wanted to share it with others. That led me to do my training with the Institute of Structural Medicine in Twisp, WA in 2001. After graduating, I opened my Structural Integration practice in New York City. Since my initial training I have expanded the scope of my work into the deeper structures of the body through training in Visceral Manipulation and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I am also a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner for work with Post Traumatic Stress and shock trauma, as well as a CoActive Coach. I am grateful to have trained with some of the most brilliant rolfers, body-centered psychotherapists and movement educators in New York and around the world.

Hellerwork Structural Integration

In each session the connective tissue in your body will be reorganized to more fully support you with balance and grace. Throughout your transformational process, attitudes and perceptions that contribute to stress and pain begin to surface, as you discover new resources in your body to change those deep-set patterns, often for a lifetime.

CranioSacral Therapy & Massage

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands on modality that works with the central nervous system via the protective layers of connective tissue and fluids that surround it. Using a light touch designed to prevent guarding and release stored injuries, trauma and emotions, CST and Somato-Emotional Release (an advanced CST practice) can have positive effects on many aspects of one’s health and awaken the body’s self-healing nature. In the treatment room, Dawn strives to support her clients in deepening their mind/body awareness by working beyond vulnerabilities into a space of increased presence and ease. Her massage sessions are comprised of a variety of manual therapy styles that work to reduce pain and unlock patterns of holding including myofascial (connective-tissue) and trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, acupressure and orthopedic techniques. During CST sessions, she works to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to process what is stored in our nervous system and uses a compassionate touch with a listening hand. Regardless of the modality, her goal is always to let the body be the director of each session.

Craniosacral Therapy & Massage

Using massage, manual therapy, craniosacral and emotional release techniques, sessions will safely work towards a place of increased presence, body consciousness, mobility and balance — often a place where language or physical therapies alone cannot reach. Sessions can be focused on one technique or blended based on the needs of the client and may include therapeutic use of essential oils. For CST sessions, and for some massage sessions, clients can remain clothed. Please wear or bring athletic or flexible clothing such as shorts, leggings, tank top or sports bra.
